DMZ produced EMU ED9E, designed for the Kazan universiade guests transportation

In accordance with the current contract until the end of July 14 six-car EMUs ED9E will be transferred.  Advantage ED9E over the other modifications is determined by the use of energy efficient equipment, reducing operating costs and maintenance costs. One EMU saving up to 450,000 kW / h of electricity per year.                                                                                                    All necessary conditions are created In ED9E for comfortable and convenient travel of passengers. Working on the EMU, the designers created a new interior saloons, implemented the system of air-conditioning in the saloons, applied new inter-car gangways.Sliding plug doors are applied in the design of the EMU, also were used backlash-free couplings.                                      The EMU provides a comfortable conditions for transportation for handicapped group of passengers, using wheelchairs to move. Head cars are equipped with  ramps for getting on and off a high platform, toilet. Saloons provide special places for securing wheelchairs.Video monitoring will be installed in the EMU’s saloons and lobbies, as well as on the outer perimeter of the front carriages. The system allows you to record the events and save the video in non-volatile memory.
