DMZ’ll produce 10 carriage EMU ED9E for Kazakhstan Railways

Advantage of the EMU  ED9E over the former  AC EMUs  batches, first of all,  is in the reduction of energy consumption and related to it higher economic return from the operation.

At the request of the customer, EMU will include I, II and III class carriages. In the I class carriages, passenger seats will be located on the 2 +2 scheme with tables between them, in the II class carriages: 2 +2 scheme with folding tables, III class carriage: standard 3 +3 seats. Head and intermediate  cars will be equipped with toilets.

Passenger car attendant’s compartment will be located in these cars as well. One of the carriages will be equipped with a bar.

External sliding plug doors and backlash-free couplings are used in the design of the carriages. The system of air-conditioning implemented in the carriages. Comfortable conditions are created for handicapped passengers, using wheelchairs to move.

Head cars are equipped with  ramps for getting on and off a high platform, toilet. Saloons provide special places for securing wheelchairs.

Video monitoring will be installed in the EMU’s saloons and lobbies, as well as on the outer perimeter of the front carriages. The system allows you to record the events and save the video in non-volatile memory.

Since 2003, DMZ passed 10 carriages of the EMU ED9MC and 22 carriages of ED9M to Kazakhstan railways.
